A favorite crystal becomes part of your everyday life. A little practical care helps preserve its surface, color and setting.
Keep cleaning gentle
Start with a soft, dry cloth. Remove loose dust before rubbing the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steam, ultrasonic cleaners and chemical jewelry dips unless a qualified jeweler has confirmed that they suit the specific stone and setting.
Water is not a universal cleanser
Different minerals respond differently to moisture. Keep selenite dry. When the stone or its treatment is uncertain, use a dry cloth rather than soaking it. Remove stretch bracelets before bathing, swimming, cleaning or applying perfume and lotions.
Protect the color and cord
Store jewelry away from prolonged direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Roll a stretch bracelet gently over your hand instead of pulling the elastic wide. Inspect the cord periodically and stop wearing it if the elastic looks frayed.
Give each piece its own space
A soft pouch or separate compartment helps prevent harder stones from scratching softer ones. Keep loose beads and small jewelry components away from young children and pets.
If you enjoy a cleansing ritual
A quiet pause, a written intention or placing your jewelry beside a meaningful object can be a personal ritual. It does not replace physical cleaning or change the mineral’s properties. Avoid salt, water and heat-based rituals that could damage a stone.
